January 22, 2012. We were at the Iloilo Sports Complex witnessing the 2012 Dinagyang Festival. This was the first time that we bought a ticket for the event and was able to see the tribes' performances without squeezing our bodies with the rest of the crowd. We waited for three hours before the first tribe arrived at the stadium. The wait was all worth it though. View the colors and faces of Dinagyang 2012 through the lens of theDigitalTrip.

Spotted a boatman carrying his paraw (sailboat) in Boaracay. A fascinating scene because he was carrying it like a cow carrying its yoke. However, instead of catching a grimace because of the load, there is no emotion on the face as if he was used to this kind of task each day.

Wild Yellows

I always associate yellow to Van Gogh because of his painting "Sunflowers". This photo set are shot from the Philippine Eagle Center in Davao City. All are wild flowers.

Parrots

I should have noted the real names of these birds. Yeah, we can call them simply as parrots but wouldn't it be nice if we are accurate? There are parakeets (lovebirds), cockatoos, macaws, etc. that share similar characteristics. Taken from the Crocodile Farm in Davao City.

Got a chance to take photos in our last provincial getaway. I never expected that the river would look that good but since I don't like other people to discover it to protect it from more urban intruders, I am transforming it into a fantasy-like location. I would like to thank our host for this opportunity.

Just browsing through my image folder and saw this three creations that should have been posted eons back. :) I use this same graphic software when creating flames and fractals but I think these are not fractals. They started from random specs molded into desirable shapes.

Morning Dew

This is the first time I went out early in the morning to catch a subject like this, and fortunately I got an opportunity in Camsur to do that. Who can get such a shot if you live in a concrete jungle? I just used the macro setting of my dslr here.

I took this picture while riding the metro ferry along the Paasig River. This graffiti, a work of art I consider, is located on the right side downstream near Sta. Cruz, Binondo area. Unfortunately, I was not able to bring my telephoto lens.

The following photos were taken during our trip to Caramoan, Camarines Sur. I was fascinated with the boats or bancas because they were painted with bright colors. Since the lighting was poor because of the weather, I enhanced the photos by darkening the murky water to reveal the brightness of the hues.

Photography need not be done in a studio. So in this set, I took the photoshoot inside our bedroom with a lampshade as a spotlight. It was an unplanned shoot without even a specific "peg", whatever that means. The spectacles should be familiar to my readers on the "nerd" theme.

Last Saturday, I did a photo shoot with an aspiring model and actor. We did the shoot at Global City in Taguig. While making the shoot, a group of women passed by the model and from a distance I heard them saying, “He looks like Jake Cuenca.” Indeed, there are angles that the model looked like the famous celebrity.

These are water streams jetting out from a fountain. Each burst of the camera's shutter created different form from the same source. Photos are taken with a 300mm telephoto lens.

Yellow NB

I do not remember if I set the camera into motion mode but since the left foot is not caught clearly, I assume that the camera was in auto setting.

Red NB

A lot of cropping was done here because there were other runner's feet in the picture. I thought of excluding the upper part of the body since I was unsuccessful in capturing the entire head of the runner. That was not intentional. :)

Winged Chariot

First image generated. It was accidentally generated but it turned out to be recognizable. It's kind of abstract but I hope you could see what I see.

Angelic Wings

This time I made it a point that I have total control of the image. I really took time in creating this shape and it took some time before it was rendered. The wings are featheres and looked like the wings of angels.

Aztec Wing

The wing and feathers look like Mayan or Aztec. It took me three hours to really perfect the wing. It's still amateurish but in no time I would be as good like boying. hehehe

I took this picture this morning from the window of our office. It should be a landscape but then I noticed the cloud formation so I cropped the picture to give emphasis on the clouds. Another thing I noticed from the picture is the smog on the lower portion of the picture. I made some twat on the exposure to make the smog more visible.

This is a reflection from the neon-signage of a restaurant. The wet pavement has distorted the signage and was lying undisturbed. I thought it was a good abstract image so I took a snap of it.

This is just one of the stray cats we are feeding in our apartment. I thought I had a good subject and this black cat is no camera-shy for it posed in front of the camera and too a good look at what I am doing.
